Course Description: Students with beginner-advanced printmaking experience will be engaged by the options of this course: block printing (wood and/or linoleum cuts) and mono-printing on copper and/or zinc plates. Student artists can work with one approach or combine methods and materials to create a mixed media printmaking series. Demos, 9.5”x 11” and 8”x 10” metal plates, brayers, printing press, oil paint and linoleum cutting materials are included; students will select additional materials to apply to their goals and interests in utilizing an experimental approach to printmaking. ADDITIONAL MATERIALS: Rives BFK paper, 280g (x5). white cotton rags, odorless turpentine or mineral spirits, small-medium sized paint brushes, and a paper palette.
