Coming off the wall is a class for artists interested in engaging surface through collage, found objects and assemblage. With an emphasis on mixed media, surface quality/texture, material combinations and invention, this course embraces the 'space' between 2 and 3-D.

SUPPLY LIST: •    found objects

•    disposable materials (bamboo, kraft paper, cardboard)
•    fiber (woven/loose)

•    adhesive (glue gun)
•    attachments (screws etc)
•    compressed and raw pigment
•    mediums/amendments
•    vessels (storage/pouring)
•    Additionally: Items for collage (unresolved artwork, wallpaper, newspaper, fabric, etc...), surface for collaging/adhering material (cradled wood panel, stretched or unstretched canvas, cardboard, burlap, Rives BFK), matte medium, soft bristle indoor house painting brush, x-acto knife, rags. Paint and other mixed-media (drawing, assemblage, pigment, etc) materials.
