Designed for painters with moderate to advanced experience with color mixing, this class can be the companion to the Color Theory, Translating Color Theory into Practice course. Working with raw and tubed pigment, artists learn in-depth about the origins, behavior and characteristics of color on its own under the influence of mediums, solvents and amendments, Course combines master demos, warm-ups, supportive critique and review of color theory as well as its use in contemporary art. Includes open studio time for painters to explore making paint and putting color theory in practice with the subject matter/application approach of individual selection/interest.

Supply Overview: raw and/or tubed pigment in primary, secondary, earth tone and black and white. Recommended mediums: walnut oil, wax medium, venetian medium,  walnut oil gel, stand oil. Please email me for a specific recommendation based on what you have vs. what you need.
