Advanced Open Studio


Advanced Open Studio Course: Independent Studio, Individualized Instruction and Curating Finished Work for Exhibition; Artists work in the medium and subject matter of their choosing.

*Class ends with curation and exhibition with opening reception. Exhibition will be promoted on ARTSY through The Art House Gallery.

Course Dates: Saturday's, 3:00-6:00 PM 

July 15-September 30, 2017

*This class ends with a group exhibition that will be open to the public with a reception on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 6-9 PM. Artists who sell their work in this exhibition receive 100% of the profit. Exhibition includes press release and review with an art journalist/critic.


Make-up classes provided for student absences within same semester time frame; payment plans available for returning students.


Course Description: Open studio course designed to be tailored individually to each artist's needs; including: to complete unfinished works, develop a portfolio, work independently (including self-portraiture, landscape and abstraction), request and access material and technique-specific demonstrations, work in painting, drawing and/or printmaking and obtain support launching a new idea/project or practice recently acquired skills.

This class is good for: Artists who have taken previous drawing and/or painting classes and want to work independently while having access to one-on-one instruction and an opportunity to curate and exhibit their work. Contact to put together an individualized supply list.
