The following are examples of successful artists trained at The Art House. Their work represents a wide range of styles and mediums while exploring what it means to create and maintain a meaningful body of work. Much of their pieces are available for purchase and each offer a valuable approach toward commission projects.
Founder/Director of The Art House Gallery and Studio, faculty at The Art Institute of Chicago and former adjunct at The University of Chicago, Rebecca actively exhibits and is well published as an artist and curator. Rebecca obtained a BFA from Maryland Institute, College of Art and a MFA in Painting and Drawing from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is the author of the book-in-progress "The Artist on Fire", curates a wide range of projects annually and exhibits widely.
A prolific artist working in drawing, painting and printmaking, Ginger obtained her art degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and went on to earn a Certificate in Fine Arts at The Art House. Ginger resides and maintains a studio in Reno, Nevada.
A dedicated artist with a vast level of experience and skill in 2-D fine art and artisan crafts, Mary holds a Certificate in Painting from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and will obtain a Certificate in Fine Arts from The Art House in 2015. Mary maintains a studio in Warrenville, Illinois and currently is an off-site artist in residence at The Art House.
Jan Fayhee Jan is a professional painter of suggestive landscapes and abstracts, working primarily in acrylic and acrylic ink on canvas. Her paintings emit an ambiguity of space, place and time, inviting the viewer to engage in a private interpretation and experience. She has participated in multiple group shows and exhibited on a solo basis. Jan maintains a full time studio in Kenilworth, IL and is represented by The Art House Gallery.
Deana is in her third year of private study with The Art House. Her work has developed into a wide range of exploration, using texture, color and mark-making to invent a visually rich language in painting. Deana works out of her Chicago studio.
Margaret's work spans deeply into both the representational and the abstract. Her ability to articulate a narrative is fluid in either genre. Margaret holds a visual arts certificate from The University of Chicago and studied at The Art House for two years. She currently resides and maintains a studio in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
